A quick recommendation for a hidden gem on the XBox 360. Test Drive Unlimited was released a couple years ago and turned out to be one of the better driving games on the system. They have mapped Oahu with all the major roads (and a ton of side roads) available for your driving pleasure. You can go anywhere, and the roads are filled with other traffic, police cars, and quests you can do for cash as well as tickets to buy clothes and accessories for your driver. While not the most thrilling or amazing game, it does what it does very well, and that's to provide you with lots of cars to buy, lots of road to drive on (freely), and lots of fun to be had. You can find this for under $20 and even $10 if you look carefully through the used games at your local stores. If you own an XBox 360, you owe it to yourself to get this game. It's a true hidden gem that is worth every penny. June 30th, 2009
The "King of Pop" is gone and everyone starts talking. Some talk with respect and admiration of a near god-like icon, and others talk of a his constant troubles involving children. I'm not here to talk of either. I was just a dumb little kid when "Thriller" came out, but I'll tell you, that was one of the best albums ever! Who could deny feeling the urge to dance when you heard MJ's stuff!? For fear of being on the next Jell-O commercial, I never danced to his stuff in public, that's for sure! I guess what I'm trying to say is that, in a way, I will miss MJ. He was an entertainment icon from my childhood that filled my ears with some great music. He was part of what bridged the gap between many genres of music, and entertained like no other from his time. Whatever "troubles" he had will be sorted out where he's at now, let's not worry about those anymore. So, when you're feeling like paying tribute to the "King of Pop", throw in the Thriller CD and just enjoy it. Don't cry, don't condemn, and don't worry. Just enjoy. June 16th, 2009
So the Lakers did it again... Old Mr. Phil Jackson walked away with his 10th championship, and Kobe earned his smugness back... wait, did he ever lose it? The city of L.A. was thinking of refusing to pay for the parade because it would cost a little over a million dollars. Do they not realize that just the state taxes off of Mr. Bryant exceed that? Not to mention the coach or the rest of the team. It's a superfluous revenue from a job that doesn't matter to the real world's progression, so they should not complain about paying for the parade. In fact, they should beg to be allowed to run the parade because their revenues will increase due to the whiners complaining that they don't make enough as a championship player, which will then increase tax revenues. June 16th, 2009 Ok, so I'm a slacker. I will update this site soon (I know, I've said that before!). This time, I am 14.34% more certain to do it than last time!
